Scientific Knowledge
We might think we’ve come very far in terms of scientific knowledge compared to, say, the Greeks or the Romans. But actually we have only managed to measure and manipulate certain phenomena. Many, many things still baffle us.
- We still don’t know why we need to sleep
- We know how to measure gravity but we have completely no idea what it is
- How can light be both a particle and a wave?
- We can produce electricity from magnetism. But exactly what is the relationship between these two?
- What is love?

@nazham: The famous double-slit experiment! Exactly. It’s completely baffling: when we fire only one photon at two slits, an interference pattern emerges, as if more than one photon was fired …
