Pilot G-1 Grip vs Faber-Castell Power Gel

I prefer the Faber-Castell because it sits nicely in the hand, and the way it applies ink to paper feels more luxurious somehow. On the right type of paper it writes like a dream; on the other hand, it just doesn’t work on some types of papyri under certain conditions. Strangely it’s rather hard to find, even in shops with large stationery sections.

The Pilot is more widely available, but writing with it doesn’t give much pleasure. It’s just a gel pen made by a very reputable Japanese pen manufacturer. It’s plus point over the Power Gel is that it’s cap looks slightly better (i.e., less el cheapo) when clipped to a shirt pocket.
