LOLCODE
Do you know lolcats? You don’t? Ha, I didn’t either until a few minutes ago. Anyway lolcats are simply pictures of cats doing cute things, along with big funny “catspeak” captions.
And now there’s LOLCODE: a programming language laced with lolcat phrases and Internet slang that has fun as its main objective. Apparently there are already interpreters and compilers that support it, including, of all things, a .NET implementation.
Some sample code:
HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
I HAS A VAR
IM IN YR LOOP
UP VAR!!1
VISIBLE VAR
IZ VAR BIGGER THAN 10? KTHXBYE
IM OUTTA YR LOOP
KTHXBYE
It took me a while to figure out that KTHXBYE is “okay, thanks, bye”.
