KL-Putrajaya Highway
My colleagues are all abuzz about the newly-opened KL-Putrajaya Highway. Working in Cyberjaya means long commutes and highway toll charges for those of us who live in KL. Anything that can cut down traveling time is definitely something to talk about over lunch.
I tried it last week from the Jalan Tun Razak exit. It’s very nice - three lanes, smooth ride, and for more than half of the way, it’s as straight as a ruler. As I described it to my friend, it’s something like Star Wars hyperdrive - you’re in the middle of the hustle and bustle of KL, the stars get warped and suddenly you’re in spacious and tranquil Putrajaya.
The stated speed limit is 90 km/h. This would be the place for the government to make money from speeding tickets. I drove at 100 km/h and I was the absolute slowest. Even a guy on a kapchai overtook me!
How do you know it’s 2007 in Malaysia? It’s when a highway has its own website.

Actually i do feel 90KM/h is really too slow for this straight highway, why do they make such a convinient and ruler like highway but the speed limit is until 90km/h.. really weird..
