Jamais Vu

We all know déjà vu - that eerie feeling of having already experienced a situation that we know we’re only experiencing for the first time. I bet you haven’t heard of the term jamais vu, though, which is its opposite: an impression of experiencing a situation for the first time, despite knowing that we’ve been in the situation before.
