I Miss Manual
Man I miss driving manual cars. Due to practical reasons the vehicle that I’m currently using is an auto. The last time I drove a car with stick shift was about 3 years ago, and even then it was only for a few kilometres and I was completely out of practice. Sad, I know.
Here are some of the analogies that I can think of regarding driving an automatic:
- Like watching Seinfeld with the volume turned off
- Like eating without tasting
- Like taking a shower with all your clothes on
- Like a sensation-deadening drug
- Like melted ice cream

I’ve been eyeing the 2010 Chevy Camaro. Don’t know when I will be able to afford one. Some day.

found your blog thru stainedhead.
i agree, stick shift beats auto any day. driving an auto is like going to the beach on a cloudy day. it’s not so bad, sometimes you kinda welcome the break from the sun. but you leave with wanting and a lot of ‘it would have been’ this and that if the sun was in full full force
good blog by the way.
