Gangster or Thug?
In the closing credits of an action movie on AXN last night:
Thugs: (about half a dozen names)
Gangsters: (another half a dozen names)
There are thugs, and then there are gangsters; talk about bad guy specialization. Makes you wonder how the auditions went.
“Well … okay … that wasn’t too bad … but I’m looking for something … a little bit more edgier, y’know what I mean? Yeah … okay … tell you what – that was a pretty good performance. Why don’t you come again next Tuesday … we’re looking for thugs … that okay with you, buddy? Yeah? Great. Hey – thanks. Next!”
